Two Best Friends

L ong ago in Shanghai , there lived a wealthy and beautiful girl , Jessica . She had long golden hair and big blue eyes . She always wore expensive clothes and wear shiny jewelry . Everyone looked at her when she was walking in the street . Jessica was born in Shanghai . Her father was a French people and her mother was a Chinese . So Jessica can speak both French and Shanghainese very well . She also had a servant named Juan who was her friend . They were the best friend ever and they couldn ’ t go live without any of them .
Juan was a girl from a poor family . She was also beautiful . She is a girl with short hair and a pink hairclip with a purple butterfly on it . A war had destroyed her house and her parents died in this war when she was six years old . She was always regretful because she couldn ’ t repay her parents . Why was she Jessica ’ s best friend ? This was because Jessica ’ s father found her in the orphan ’ s house when he was finding a girl that could be a servant for Jessica . Then , they lived together for a long time and Juan always wanted to do something for Jessica .
One evening , Jessica went shopping at the Bund with Juan . It was in winter , so it was white everywhere . When they arrived at the Bund , it was crowded . Lots of people walked in the street and also some people waited outside restaurants . Everyone was holding umbrellas as it was snowing . There were lots of different colourful umbrellas . When they were shopping , they could hear people chatting loudly and smell the sweet smell from restaurant . This made Jessica starving , so they waited outside a restaurant for dinner . Jessica looked at a bench outside the restaurant and said arrogantly , “ Juan , help me to clean the bench . I need to take a rest .” Juan took out a napkin at once and cleared the bench .
When Juan sat down , Jessica was still looking at the window of the restaurant and whispered , “ I want to try those delicious foods !” Juan said to Jessica , “ Jessica , we ’ ve waited for a long time . Shall we go home now ? It seems late .”
“ No ! I want to have a dinner first ! I ’ m hungry ! I ’ m hungry !” shouted Jessica . “ Okay , but you need to promise me . We must go home at once ,” Juan said unwillingly and Jessica nodded her head .
Then , Juan looked around and found a strange man . The man looked fierce and he suddenly took out a gun . He pointed the gun at Jessica and Juan knew that he was the famous mobster , ‘ Blue Eyes ’. Juan was terrified and she held Jessica ’ s hands tightly . When someone noticed that , he shouted , “ Run ! Someone is trying to kill us !” Everyone were scared and ran away immediately . Juan stood up and tried to protect Jessica . Jessica held Juan hands and they ran away at once . They ran to a dark street . The mobster chased them immediately . However , this time he only wanted money and didn ’ t want to kill anyone but all of them seemed to be mistaken .
After a long chase , Juan and Jessica came to a street and there was no way for Juan and Jessica to leave . Jessica was frightened and didn ’ t know what to do . Suddenly , Juan stood out . She stood in front of the mobster and looked at him angrily . She trembled with fear and shouted , “ Don ’ t hurt this girl ! She is a kind girl ! She is also my best friend !”
Juan made a pose and was ready to fight with him “ I don ’ t want to hurt you ! After you give me your money and jewelry , I will let you go .” Jessica didn ’ t even know that Juan knew Kung Fu ! After fighting for a long time , Juan beat down the mobster and she was really brave ! She sat down on the ground and felt exhausted . Juan saved Jessica . Jessica was pleased and thanked Juan . Juan said angrily to Jessica , “ I have just told you that we should go back home early . But you don ’ t listen to me !” They started to argue .
At last , Juan drove Jessica home . Jessica ’ s mother thanked Juan because she has protected Jessica from the well-known mobster , ‘ Blue Eyes ’. Jessica hugged Juan and both of them were overjoyed . They promoted their friendship and Juan protected Jessica better than before after that .
