Needless to say we couldn’t manage anything else to eat but we did somehow fit in another glass of crisp rose wine! Unbeknown to us on a Sunday afternoon Louise organises live music. On this particular Sunday a mature gentleman whose name I can’t remember (probably because of the wine) was entertaining us with all the old classics from Billy Joel, Bobby Darin, Barry Manilow – you get the picture. He was really good and some of the other diners were up dancing, something Louise had never seen before. The atmosphere was brilliant, everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves and it was definitely a feel-good afternoon. We’ll be returning, of that I have no doubt. The wine bar has been open just over a year and is run by Louise and her family. It is full of interesting décor, including original exposed brickwork and beams, together with stable gates from when the building used to house animals, a huge log burner and skylights, so it seems bright and airy. The toilets were clean, always a good sign, and spacious too. Spend an afternoon wandering around Princes Risborough, stop off for a drink and bite to eat and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
