Whispering the Truth
of Who You Are

“The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the
Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. Then a great and powerful wind tore

was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord

esperation drives me to Him. Writhing from confusion, hurt, and anger,
I cry surrendered tears with the One
touching my deepest need. Beckoning His
help, I receive His nurture and healing. Standing before Him, the Lord’s presence gently
sways me back and forth. His eyes are on
me, attentively watching every movement.
He steps close. I look into His eyes. I sway
to the left; His face follows me. I sway to the
right; His face follows me. Gazing with intentional focus, His eyes probe and penetrate.
He places His firm yet gentle hand first on

my shoulder and then on my heart. My trust
delights Him, and His approving smile melts
me. He secures and softens me.
Why go elsewhere? He knows me
unlike any human ever could. He accepts me
unlike any human ever will. He sees the best
in me every day, no matter what. He continually pursues, yearning for me to look into His
eyes. Eyes are the windows to the heart. As I
contemplate His pursuit of me, I realize there
is a heart filling only He can fill. Isn’t there
a longing that only He can satisfy? Isn’t His
presence the only One that brings peace? Isn’t
