words of David:
“You have turned for me my mourning into
dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
that my glory may sing your praise and not
be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you
forever!” Psalm 30:11-12
One day, the burden of pain which
relentlessly clings to our shoulders, will
finally be lifted off. He will turn our grief
into indescribable joy. Where once was
night, there will always be day. And we will
rejoice in his presence forever.
And night will be no more. They will need
no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be
their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
Revelation 22:5
“Look! God’s dwelling place is now among
the people, and he will dwell with them. They
will be his people, and God himself will be with
them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear
from their eyes. There will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of
things has passed away.” Revelation 21:3b-4
Until that most glorious moment, we
must not lose heart but cling ever so desper-
ately to our Lord every day. His Spirit will
do in us, what we certainly can’t do on our
own. He will bring us safely to the other
side.
I have told you these things, so that in me
you may have peace. In this world you will have
trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the
world. John 16:33
