Macromolecules

Do you know what macromolecules are? Well you should! Without them, you wouldn't be alive! They are crucial molecules that our bodies need to do basic things in life. Macromlecules consist of Carbohydrates, Lipids, Nucleic Acid, and Proteins. They are one of the biggest molecules. These molecules form together to help us grow, develop, and thrive. They are very very important.

The first macromlecule, carbohydrates, is made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. It is a major energy source amd contains simple sugars, building blocks of molecule carbohydrates, called monosaccharides. Second crucial molecule are lipids. Lipids are classified as fats, waxes, and oils.

Lipids are stored away for energy sorces, and

composed of fatty acids and glycerol molecules.

If the energy isnt stored properly, then you collect

fat. This is why you must stay active! Next up is

the third group, nucleic acids, which are the most

complex biological compounds and are composed

of nucleotides. It forms deoxyribosenucleic acid, DNA, and ribonucleic acid, RNA, and controls heredity. The last macromolecu-

le is Protein. Protein is a building block of

life and lets living things grow, maintain,

repair, and run chemical reactions.

There you have it! Now you see how

important these tiny macromolecules are

You wouldn't be able to grow, develop,

and thrive without
