The Science of Biology
Many of you might think biology is boring or useless but its actually interesting and important. Science is about the natural world and biology is a type of science that seeks to understand the living world. Observation is well needed thing in science, that sounds like a lot of work but it you have everyting
it takes; sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Not
as compicated as you thought. The information you
make from observation is called evidence, or data.
With the data you collect you can make an inferen-
ce (logical interpretation based on prior knowled-
ge). With this you can make a possible explanation
or hypothesis. A hypothesis should always be
tested to be useful. A hypothesis can be made of
prior knowledge, imaginative guesses, and prior knowledge. A lot of scientist try to discover a better understanding of the natural world. Many aspects of scientists are curiosity, honesty, open mindedness, and the recognition science has limits. One scientist had the curiosity of understanding spontaneous generation a little better. His name was Francesco Redi and he discovered that maggots don’t form from meat but are the offsprings of flies. This was a big breakthrough at that time. Many scientists started testing his hypothesis and many got it correct. See pretty important and interesting right? Did you know that every single thing is made of tiny little things we can’t see called cells? We’re all made of cells but that doesn’t mean we react the same way in environments. We use homeostasis to keep our internal conditions relatively stable in different conditions. Scientists use microscopes to see the cells. They even have different types of microscopes to see cells a little bit better. Two of those microscopes are called transition electron microscope (TEM), and the scanning electron microscope (SEM). We Humans have evolved a lot since the beginning and its cool to know we used to be ape looking creatures. Science helps a lot to envision many different possibilities, and to change or predict our future.
