Raising Money in Memory of Beth Hannah Jenkinson, Georgie McGregor, Kimberley Palmer, Beth Groves and Hannah Findley - Year 10 Beth Mycroft was a young and vibrant girl that sadly had her life shortened before it had begun. Although her death was not painful it was very much painful for her family and friends. She died of sudden death syndrome and although she is not here she’s done a lot. Not just has she raised awareness of the syndrome she has also raised a significant amount of money. But it wasn’t just her, her family and friends too. We have raised over £7,000. By losing her own she has saved many other lives. We are all still grieving at the fact she has gone but we are all getting through it by raising money and awareness. The school is so proud of all her close friends and family for all the hard work they have done and for staying strong. We have presented assemblies in school to raise awareness of the charity and the work it does. So far we have organised many charity events to raise money for CRY such as: Pretty Muddy, an event that Beth was meant to attend with Hannah Jenkinson but never got the chance. We have raised money at the Clowne Gala through bake sale and raffles. At school we have raised money through bake sales and non-uniform days. Our recent non-uniform day raised over £600 and a bake sale held by students raised over £200. This money will be added to the total raised by Beth’s friends and family so far. They have already raised over £6,000 and are really close to meeting their target of £8,000 as there are more events planned for the future including a bag pack and a coffee morning. Beth will never be forgotten in everyone’s hearts. Please help us raising money by donating to CRY so they can continue their important work. Children In Need Mr B Emment Heritage High School has supported Children in Need for many years and regularly donates a substantial amount to the charity, this year we are doing things a little differently. Thank you so much to all those staff and students who bought keyrings, pens and wristbands etc. during the weeks leading up to Friday 13th November. So far we have raised £400 which is great, we shall of course be having a non uniform day before our Christmas break and the proceeds of that, all your £1 donations, will be added to the Children in Need total.
