Heritage High School Spring Newsletter 2018 | Página 2
The end of another calendar year approaches … all too quickly! I am certain that you all are asking yourselves
where does time disappear to as we approach the busiest holiday period of the year.
During November we celebrated the individual success of our Year 11 leavers at our GCSE award evening. On
a personal note I remain deeply impressed with the respect our students continually show at appropriate times
when the whole school community comes together, such as our Remembrance Service on 11th November, and
during our silence as a mark of respect for the tragic events in Paris.
The run-up to the end of term has been busy with a number of activities. We hosted the Christmas Carol
Concert at which young people from Creswell Infants, Barlborough Primary and our own Heritage High School
students performed. There were even a number of parents who joined in the carol singing to add to the festive
spirit. In the same week there were also 3 nights of our Christmas Show, Alice in Wonderland, which were a
real celebration of talent in our school. Together with another Community Lunch this has been an eventful
week.
The final week of term saw the school ski trip to Italy depart for another successful and enjoyable adventure for
our future winter Olympic hopefuls.
2015 has been an eventful and exceptionally busy year for Heritage High
School. May I take this opportunity to thank you for all your ongoing support for all that we do to we seek to improve further.
Mr R Marlow
Headteacher
We all at Heritage High School wish you and your families a very Merry
Christmas and a prosperous 2016. I hope that you all enjoy a well-earned
break.
Parent Pay
Mrs A Lindley
After a number of teething problems at the start of the academic year, I am pleased to inform parents that the
system is fully operational and is able to provide parents with details of the food choices of their children. We
would like to encourage all parents to use this for the payment of dinner money as this is a much more secure
method of payment rather that students bringing money into school with them.
The school will not be taking cash payment for school visits in the future and so it is important that parents
are able to access the parent pay system. If you have not yet accessed the system and require us to send you
through your log on details again then please contact the school by telephone or preferably by email on
parentpay@heritage.derbyshire.sch.uk.
