3. RESPONSE:
The response is the actual behavior or habit that you perform. Behaviors are more likely to be performed when they are easy—that is, when they can be accomplished with ease.

2-minute rule
REDUCE FRICTION: What do you need to do to ensure that you are able to get up and walk during the day? Pick an easy place to get your steps in. The closest place to where you sit is ideal. So don't pick "go walk at the park for 30 minutes daily" if you have to get in a car to get there. Simply walking around your house (inside or outside) or up and down your block would reduce the friction of accomplishing your habit.
How to Make it Easy Examples
PREP ENVIRONMENT: Wearing your step tracker watch daily with built in movement reminders. Where will you walk? If outside, what is your backup plan for bad weather?
2-MINUTE RULE: The very first 2 minute step could be to lovingly move your body or walk around your house for 2 minutes after you drink your morning water (or coffee). What a win that is! Remember, we must start small. AND we must proceed with baby steps. Do not believe the lie that you must walk 10,000 steps right out of the gate.
