officials from the state of Mississippi and promote the Healthy Start
Program. We also advocated for continued funding by show-casing
our consumer/program participants and consortium member. This
conference allowed the staff, especially the consumers and the
consortium member, the opportunity to meet and network with
other Healthy Start Projects. During the meeting, the staff provided
statistical data and other information on the successful outcomes of
the program. The delegation visited the offices of Representative
Bennie G. Thompson-2nd CD, Senator Thad Cochran and we had
breakfast with Senator Roger Wicker and his Staff. !
