mother’s womb and felt the umbilical cord around his neck. He felt a
sense of suffocation in the womb and wanted to release the cord
around his neck. This was a spontaneous age regression and it was a
life changing experience for me, as it showed me that the
subconscious mind is always wanting to communicate with us and
knows everything about us. It remembers everything, right from being
in the mother’s womb. The client couldn’t believe what he had just
experienced but he felt at peace now, as he gained insight into why he
felt suffocated around people. With hypnotherapy the issue was
resolved.
After this session, I became very interested in spirituality. I came to the
realisation and that there is a higher self within us all. This higher self
has all the answers. When we can quiet our mind chatter, we can hear
this wisdom speak to us.
After that session ended, I realised I am never alone and that I can
always ask for wisdom and guidance from my higher self. The teacher
who has all the answers has been within us all along
Yes! this I completely agree Since I witness it with my cases
almost always..
9. What is a common challenge you come across as a therapist
and how do you resolve them?
The most common challenge I come across is clients having a fear of
hypnosis. I spend a large part of the first session explaining what
hypnosis is, to clear all the myths and misconceptions of hypnosis. If
their fears and misconceptions are not cleared, it will affect the
outcome of the hypnosis session, as all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a powerful tool for inner transformation, but due to the
stigma attached to the word hypnosis, people fear being under the
“spell” of the hypnotist. It is ironic as hypnosis is a tool which sets
them free from being under the “spell” of their own limiting beliefs. It
sets us free from the “imaginary” prison of our own mind.
