10. What is your take on the various healing modalities?
Today we have so many healing modalities available. In my
experience the greatest healer is already within us. It is always guiding
us towards healing and being whole. The uncomfortable feelings we
feel, are just like the indicator lights of the car letting us know that we
need to go within, heal those parts of ourselves, bring in new
perspectives and reintegrate them into our whole being. Until we don’t
take responsibility for our own healing, we will continue to distract
ourselves by eating, smoking, shopping, drinking, gambling etc. to
stop feeling those painful feelings. Any healing modality which
facilitates this connection with the healer within, is a good place to
start. Of course, please do your homework first and look for a
facilitator who is a certified practitioner, ethical and is associated with
a governing body which can oversee the conduct and continuing
education training requirements of the practitioner.
11. Mind can be programmed. Your Take??
Yes, mind can be programmed. Hypnosis is a great tool which we can
use, to easily program the subconscious mind with new healthy
behaviours. Our habits are just programs which we have practiced so
many times that they now become automatic. Science has called this
neuroplasticity. In simple terms, it means that neurons that fire
together, wire together. The subconscious mind can change the
conscious brain. Any new behaviour when repeated many times
become hard wired into the brain and then it becomes automatic.
12. Please explain hypnotherapy in your own words.
We all experience normal everyday hypnosis in our waking state.
Whenever we daydream or imagine the future, we are in hypnosis.
When we are focused on a task, driving a familiar route or watching a
movie, we are in hypnosis. At night as we fall asleep, we pass through
