might be someone you’re forced to be around-like employers, employees, or clients, guests, friends, relatives, visitors-they can eat all they want. It doesn’t bother you at all. You can see and smell the food they’re eating but it doesn’t bother you at all because you are in dynamic control of your life, your health and your eating habits. As a matter of fact, every time you see them eat, or smell the food, you feel even better … you feel even stronger. Every time they eat around you, it makes you feel even more determined to remain in complete and total control. You now find it so easy to politely and firmly refuse food of any kind in these situations. Imagine yourself now in just such a situation. Hear someone offer you a plate of food perhaps, or maybe it’s a cookie or donut or pastry or chocolate, it doesn’t really matter. Hear yourself telling them, “No thank you.” Now notice how good that makes you feel. Every time you say “no” to anyone else or yourself in such a situation as this a tremendous feeling of health and pride comes over you. An overwhelming realisation that finally you’re the one who’s in charge. You’re the one who’s in control. Emotional Trigger Finding now that you eat for health and nutrition only. Eating is not a substitute for anything else. You may have problems, personal or professional, from time to time but you no longer try to solve or forget about these problems by eating. If you’re upset, disappointed or emotionally distraught about anything, you no longer think of eating to solve your problems. Eating is for nutrition only. You can and you will solve your problems without resorting to food. You’re becoming increasingly more able in developing skills in coping more effectively with emotions. You’re learning to either avoid situations that produce emotions or you are reacting differently to
