i encourage you to explore the numerous ways
that HCBA membership can benefit you.
hether you are a long-standing
member or a new member of the
HCBA, I warmly welcome you to
the 2019-2020 bar year! I became
an HCBA member over twenty
years ago, and I feel a deep sense of gratitude and
honor to serve as your president this year.
If you attended the installation ceremony in June,
you heard me talk about how I was a young associate
new to the city of Tampa. Wiser and more
experienced lawyers encouraged involvement in bar
organizations as a positive part of career development.
Leaders encouraged me to work on a variety of bar
projects and pushed me to take on more prominent
roles. I am very glad that I heeded all of this advice
and found my way into great professional communities
like the HCBA.
