BLI year !
The BLI program aims to identify and develop those attorneys who demonstrate ambition to grow into future HCBA and community leaders . Those who are selected for the Class of 2025 will gain access to unique opportunities to engage with HCBA leadership , develop professional relationships with leaders across Tampa Bay , and give back to the community through service projects .
Each month , members of the BLI program will attend a “ module ” hosted by a local business or government entity . We start in Ybor with a tour of the renowned J . C . Newman Cigar Company , and will continue around the city visiting places like the Tampa Fire Rescue and Tampa Police Department training facility , MacDill Air Force Base , and the Port of Tampa . By the end of each module , members will gain a uniquely valuable understanding of the community and the leaders who have made our city a nationally acclaimed place to live and work .
In addition to the modules , the BLI Class will attend HCBA events and board meetings to elevate their involvement in the organization and learn about the various ways they can serve the HCBA . Members will also coordinate and lead a community service project to support a local non-profit organization . n
