Candidates Anyone is eligible to enter the contest . Staff of Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley and their immediate family members may participate , however , are not eligible to win .

Competition categories and guidelines Photos will be accepted for judging providing they meet the guidelines of 1 of the 3 competition categories . These include ; Best Hotel Photograph , Best Holiday Selfie , Best Local Attraction Photo . The category guidelines and their criteria are as follows :

1 . Best Hotel Photo – this category is all about capturing how it feels to stay at and / or visit Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley . You may focus on the property ’ s natural beauty or lavish new guest rooms . Perhaps relaxing with cocktails by the pool or dinner in Harvest Restaurant ? Photos will be judged on their ability to express the feeling of a moment guests can experience at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley .

2 . Best Holiday Selfie – this category is less about the quality of the photo and more about its creativity . Could you grab a selfie with a staff member ? In a unique location ? Underwater ? Selfies will be

judged on their overall creativity and must be taken within the grounds of Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley .

3 . Best Local Attraction Photo – we want to see jaw dropping , breathtaking , eye dazzling photography . The attraction or natural wonder must be located in the Hawkesbury no more than 45 minutes ’ drive from Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley . It could be an incredible view or an incredible local business . This category will be judged on the image ’ s beauty , its ability to stop people in their tracks and capture what makes the Hawkesbury an incredible place to stay and explore .

Technical specifications for submitted photos Photo ( s ) must be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG ( up to but no greater then 10MB ). If you do not have a camera capable of these requirements , please still submit your photo understanding this may hinder your chances of winning . ( This specification does not apply to the Best Holiday Selfie category ).

The photo must not contain violence , profanity , sex or direct attacks on individuals or organisations . Any entries deemed offensive will be immediately disqualified . The photo must be an original creation - no copyrighted images may be used . The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted photo ( s ) does

not violate the rights of a third party or any copyright .

Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have resulted through the submissions of photos .

Judging and notification of winners Competition entries will close at 11:59pm on 31 May 2022 AEST . Qualifying photos will be judged on adherence to the category guidelines for which they were submitted , eg , all photos submitted for the “ Best Hotel Photograph ” category will be judged against this category ’ s criteria and guidelines .

All entries will be judged by acclaimed Hotel and Resort Photography expert Mauro Risch . Any attempt by a participant to influence the result or subvert the photo competition will lead to immediate disqualification . The winning photo from each category will be announced within two weeks from the competition close date .

Each winning entry will be notified by e-mail and Instagram . If an entrant is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made to do so , Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley reserve the right to offer the prize to the next best entry in that category .

The prize The best photo from each category will win a Weekend Escape for 2

people at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley including : two nights ’ accommodation in a 1 Bedroom Balcony Suite , daily gourmet buffet breakfast , high tea for two , one dinner in Harvest Restaurant , nightly cocktails in Barracks Bar , two Spa Dreaming Rituals ( Wellbeing Massage & Signature facial ) at Villa Thalgo Day Spa and late checkout at 1:00pm .

The prize will be valid for 12 months from the date each winning participant is notified . Booking dates will be subject to availability .

In addition , winners will also be given the chance to have their signed photograph developed and displayed at Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley as well as printed on the front page of The Hawkesbury Independent Magazine in July 2022 .

Rights and ownership By submitting their photos to Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley , participants agree to grant Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley free of charge the right to use the photo in any manner and media , including without limitation , the right to publish , adapt , distribute , copy , display or translate in printed or electronic media even if they are not the winning entries . Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley agrees to mention the full name and / or business of the winning participants when announcing the competition results .
