Book of Love follows Henry , an uptight English writer ( Claflin ) whose novel is a total failure . One bright spot is that the book is a hit in Mexico but when he is invited to the country to promote it , he soon discovers why — the Spanish translator , Maria , played by Echegui , has rewritten his dull book as an erotic novel .
The writer is furious , and even more so when his publisher pairs him and the translator on a book tour across Mexico . Opposites attract and , of course , sparks fly in this romantic comedy .

The power of meditation

Fans of Trueblood will love this new podcast by Lorna Gordon
I am so excited about this month ’ s podcast ! If you are a fan of True Blood vampire series or the Charlaine Harris books then hold onto you your hats , Pam ( A . K . A Kristin Bauer ) and Jessica ( A . K . A . Deborah Ann Woll ) are hosting a blow by blow , or should that be bite by bite , breakdown of each episode of the show .
Both hosts admit to not having watched the show , having been filming it for the time it was running , so they look at it through fresh eyes and also give behind the scenes information about it that you won ’ t hear from anywhere else .
In the first episode they speak to the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels , Charlaine Harris , who ’ s books were the inspiration of the show and get insight into her characters , director Allan Ball and what she thinks of the TV interpretation of it .
Other stars of the show will be joining Kristin and Deborah , with hints that Sam Trammell and Allan Ball will be talking to them in future episodes .
At the time of writing , there is only one episode out , but with seven series of the show and eighty one episodes , there is the possibility of so many more . You can listen to the show on all the usual places , I hope you enjoy it as much as I am . by Lorna Gordon
Meditation is a practice which calms the mind and body . It ’ s been around for hundreds of years and has slowly become part of mainstream life , even my kids do it at school these days !
If you aren ’ t familiar with meditation , it can be done in a few different ways . Many people enjoy doing a guided meditation where you are talked through the steps of what to do , often with calming music in the background . If you are familiar with doing meditation after being taught or listening to guided meditation you can still your mind and body on your own using breathing .
It is a powerful technique to add to your wellbeing toolbox for many reasons , but the main one is that this practice helps to lower your heartrate and therefore reduces stress in your body . Stress contributes to many health problems , so being able to combat this using a simple and free routine is incredibly helpful .
Learning the breathing techniques and reducing stress goes hand in hand with controlling anxiety , knowing you are in control of your body and moving away from panic improves your mood and can make you feel happier . And because meditation and breathing exercises can be done anywhere , it is a skill that anyone with anxiety could benefit from learning .
The relaxation gained my meditating has been proven to improve sleep . It can do this by allowing you to redirect the racing thoughts which can stop so many of us from falling asleep without tossing and turning for longer than we like .
Kids as well as adults benefit from learning to switch off . If you have a child who struggles to get to sleep or a teen who is in the midst of study and the stress that goes along with it , take some time and either meditate with them if they are little , or give them the tools to learn for themselves if they are older .
If you want to learn how to meditate , there are apps on your phone like Calm , which are available for a free trial or to purchase . YouTube and Spotify also offer playlists to help you switch off at the end of the day .
