"You shall make holy garments
for Aaron your brother, for glory
and for beauty.” Exodus 28:2
“Then David got up off the
ground, washed, anointed himself
and changed his cloth.”
2 Samuel 12:20
“But when you fast, put oil on
your head and wash your face.”
Matthew 6:17
Being properly attired does not
require you to spend a fortune on
clothes. However, they need to be
clean, well ironed and thoughtfully
put together. There are generally
accepted conventions to mixing
and matching clothing that would
not hurt to know. Being stylish is
not an evil thing and looking like a
time traveller from centuries past is
not exactly honorable.
Ensure your clothes are
appropriate for the event to which
they are worn. You cannot, for
example, attend a corporate
meeting in night wear. Know your
BEAUTY
body type and dress to suit it.
Avoid extremely figure hugging or
oversized clothes and don’t follow
fashion trends blindly. Tempting as
it may be, squeezing into clothes
from when you were a couple of
sizes smaller will not give a
beautiful result.
In all things, it is important that
our moderation be known to all
men, for the Lord is at hand
(Phillipians 4:5). Most importantly,
pay attention to the leading of the
Holy Spirit within you concerning
every action you take, whether it is
something as simple as deciding
your clothing, or something as
major as making life-changing
decisions.
“What? know ye not that your
body is the temple of the Holy
Ghost [which is] in you, which ye
have of God, and ye are not your
own? “ 1 Corinthians 6:19
Until you read from me again,
you are beautiful. Believe it.
