Short description These examples are based on experience achieved during 30-hour pilot, where different methods and tools were tested. Important to understand that use of this example must be tailored to the occupations of the target group. Target group Adults in employment Products / Outcomes Useful assessment- identifying what your students know and need If there is made a description for the occupation, which is target group for our training, then this tool, is useful to bring in as part of planning. Any way it is wise to ask the employer how writing and reading skills occur in the company. Maybe there are special forms, reports or other tools they use as part of internal and external communication, which the training can use in order to make training as useful as possible. Employees may have different roles facing a text, which important for the trainer to understand:  the one who interprets a text  whoever performs a work instruction  the one who gives information further  the person who checks that the work is done  the person to prove that the work has been completed  the person who will pass on information  the one who will update the information Based on all this information, try to decide which kind of writing and reading skills your students need most. Mapping of writing skills How well do you write? Of course, this is a difficult skill to map, because this may include vocabulary, grammar, spelling and, not least, communicating a message. SO in order to map writing skills, you need to decide WHAT you would like to measure.
