The Hamilton Park 1st Graduating Class May, 1956. The first class of
Hamilton Park consisted of five students; Birdia Fields, Robert Fisher, Jimmy
Jackson, Jean Hamilton and Joan Williams. Birdia Fields is from the first class.

The class of 67 began first grade in 1955 with 28 students that went from 1st
through 12th grades becoming the first class to complete all 12 grades at the
Hamilton Park School.
New construction in 1959 added a First Grade wing. Later, additions of more
classrooms for the high school wing, lunchroom, auditorium, television center,
band and music room. There were many new changes after 1995.
Hamilton Park High School was a fully accredited high school and competed in
District Class A, Class AA and Class AAA during its existence. The mighty
Bobcats football team participated in 3 state playoffs. The Bobcats won the state
championship in 1961 by 28 – 0 over Sweeny High, under the coaching staff of
James O Griffin and John Jones.
