If chicken is your choice, I highly recommend the California Chicken Club— grilled chicken breast topped with bacon, avocado, red onion and pepper jack cheese is served on toasted multi-grain bread. The sandwich spectrum continues with selections like sesame-crusted ahi tuna with ginger mayo, grilled vegetable wrap, pressed Cuban flatbread with ham, pork and Swiss cheese, and a grilled cheese sandwich taken to the next level with aged Wisconsin and Vermont cheddars, sun-dried tomatoes, bacon and herb aioli.
Various appetizing salads range from the Ahi Tuna featuring sesame seeds, diced mandarin with orange-chili vinaigrette to the Strawberry Spinach loaded with goat cheese, sliced strawberries and a sweet poppy seed dressing. The chef’ s 20 plus years of experience, which spans cruise ships to more conventional restaurants, comes through in the signature pizzas— handmade with fresh dough, quality cheeses and toppings that rival the best pies in town. The Margherita may have a simple combination of tomato sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil, but those flavors in the proper balance are a delight. I was impressed and am curious about which pizza I’ ll choose on my next visit. There’ s even a DIY option with topping selections like Italian sausage, artichokes, bacon, spinach and pineapple. Top your stay off with a Hot Fudge Sundae Cheesecake or Warm Cookie Melt and you’ ll consider your meal a perfect game!
