BIG PLANS FOR SMALL-TOWN STORE
The Marketplace at Sharpsburg will open in mid May at 1104 N. Church St. in Sharpsburg. The store will feature local foods from area farms such as fresh produce, local meats and dairy; Maryland foods such as honey and maple syrup; handcrafted items like quilts, scarves, hats, blankets, furniture, bird houses, chicken coops, photographs and jewelry; recycled and repurposed items and crafts; vintage cookware, knickknacks and furniture; books, albums, wine making and home brewing supplies, and outdoor cooking supplies. Organizers envision the Marketplace at Sharpsburg becoming a gathering place for small groups to hold meetings, like knitting clubs, book clubs, and support groups.
CELEBRATING THEIR 22ND ANNIVERSARY AND A NEW LOCATION
The Locked Door has moved to a new location at 1423 Dual Highway. The new store, in the Foxshire Plaza behind Dunkin Donuts, is just a ¼ mile from the previous location. The new space has more room for additional inventory, and The Locked Door will carry additional products such as swimwear, men’ s underwear and leather items. A FASHIONABLE FACELIFT
Sweet Myrtle Gift Shop has moved to 11 E. Baltimore St. in Greencastle, Pa., and is offering expanded hours at its new location. The shop’ s hours are 10 a. m.– 5 p. m. Monday through Friday and 10 a. m.– 4 p. m. Saturday. Sweet Myrtle first opened its doors in 2008. The new storefront provides additional space to offer gifts for friends, family, and home, and the owners are thrilled to be in downtown Greencastle among great restaurants and unique specialty shops.
