BISTRO MEETS BOWLING ALLEY In a space like this, typical“ bowling alley” food like hot dogs, chips or frozen pizza would be a surefire gutter ball. Fortunately, Seven Ten’ s new menu bowled over my taste buds! Coinciding with the owners’ vision of upscale family entertainment, they carefully crafted a bistro menu featuring tasty finger food, classic favorites and tantalizing entrées. David suggests I start with the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, and after one bite it was easy to see why. Freshly baked with a hint of butter and a generous amount of salt these sticks stand on their own, but the sauces certainly enhance the flavor.
The spicy queso is zesty, but not too hot to overwhelm the combination of flavors. If you have a sweet tooth, the creamy cinnamon butter dip is equally delicious. Next, I try the Mac and Cheese Bites, which remind me of delicious morsels one would find at a Renaissance festival. Macaroni and cheese is breaded and sautéed to a golden brown, served tastefully on a bed of greens with warm marinara sauce. Even seafood lovers can satisfy their craving with savory 7-10 Crispy Wontons. Delicately fried wontons are packed full of Maryland’ s finest crabmeat, combined smartly with peppers, ginger and garlic to create a crunchy delight. Flavorful Thai chili sauce enhances the flavor rather then dominating it. Sliders, quesadillas and Bruschetta Pomodora round out an appetizer menu with something for everyone.
Seven Ten offers a surprisingly wide range of entrées: freshly prepared salads, sandwiches, burgers and even madefrom-scratch pizzas. During my tasty research for this story, I sampled multiple selections, each one with generous proportions. The Classic Bacon Cheddar Burger is sure to entice the hardiest burger connoisseur. Crisp applewoodsmoked bacon and hand-patted beef patty topped with loads of cheese and toppings tastes like a piece of summer with“ fresh off the grill” flavor. All burgers and sandwiches are served with fresh-cut fries or a robust side salad of
