On retrouve expert hands added leather strips highlighting the Zamak seal. The final step consisted in enhancing the presentation with a delicate green reproducing the checked pattern’s quilted effect. For its general public version, we keep Murano’s codes but use a classical glass bottle. Technically-speaking, we were able to copy the intrecciato industrially on the bottle bottom, by engraving in the mould and sanding, something which turned out to be a real technical exploit. In both these versions, the end consumer must not be able to see the technique which would interfere with the aesthetics. The same holds true for the American jewellery firm Tiffany & Co., whose DNA is the diamond, and whose idea for the perfume was to re-portray the facets, the pureness, the elegance and the contemporary spirit. To ensure perfect harmony, I asked my teams to immerse themselves fully into the history of the brand before taking on their role as technicians. The glass challenge was in the need to make the trace on the bottle bottom invisible to the eye. Consequently, we chose free-air blowing and a mould without a bottom baffle, a complex technique to master. And, because the bottle had to reflect this olfactory diamond, an iris-based powdery Chypre-styled floral fragrance, we opted to complete it with a dazzling finish. Last example: Chloé’s romantic world infused with haute-couture codes. In the Chloe Eau de Parfum, we can admire the attachment to craftsmanship through the handmade bow, sewn on the ring placed on the collar. As well as through the pure silver-galvanized collar which, once again, was another technical exploit, to endow this bottle with perfect personality.
