Special Care Policy
Prior to a child attending the program, special diets,
health conditions, and/or allergies must be reported to
the Program Administrator. We will work with the
school nurse to determine any modifications or
guidelines and develop a treatment plan as needed. If
emergency supplies, such as an epi-pen, are needed,
the parent may need to supply them, separate from
those supplied for during the school day.
Medication
The staff of GLC are not permitted to administer
medication (except for in an emergency, in accordance
with a signed emergency plan). Children may not be in
possession of medications at any time, including cough
drops, pain relievers, etc. This includes leaving
medications in a child’s lunch box or back pack.
Emergency Care Procedures
The Group Leaders (adults) are trained in first aid/CPR for
