Tips & Tricks for Living Clutter-Free
In the last issue of GreenBook I wrote about decluttering — the process of freeing yourself from items you don ’ t use or need . Decluttering a room feels great . You ’ re finally free of chaos and disorganization . Now you can focus on the fun part : putting everything in its place !
Maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of a space after the clutter is gone is an important part of the organizing process , particularly when it ’ s a room you use on a regular basis . High traffic areas are quick to get messy again and if you don ’ t have organizational systems in place , the clutter will most likely return .
Finding organizing products and solutions to help you to stay organized can be overwhelming , so here are some ideas you might think about achieving over the summer :

AN ORGANIZED VEHICLE
Your vehicle , whether it ’ s an SUV , van or car can get messy and disorganized if you spend a lot of time transporting kids , vacationing or heading out to recreational opportunities . There ’ s nothing worse than sticky ice cream wrappers and sandy feet in a hot car . For busy families , it ’ s a good idea to have organizing products that remain in the car to keep the interior organized . Here are 2 organizing solutions for keeping items organized in both the seating and cargo area .

AN ORGANIZED SUITCASE
Packing clothes inside a suitcase for a trip is simple enough , but once you arrive to your destination you ’ ll want to be able to easily find what you need . My favorite organizing solution for packing is to use packing cubes . Packing cubes allow you to pack more items in less space and also categorize your clothing so that you don ’ t spend time rummaging around to find what you need when you reach your destination .
