the holiday care packages, and our MAC Tailgate.
Teaming with the Cheyenne Professionals Network to

great example of our communities willingness to come
together in support of our troops.

Select Military Affairs Committee:
When my wife and I were looking for a place to settle
after serving in the United States Navy, we wanted a
place where we could give back to our community and
make a difference for others. The Chamber seemed to
be a natural place to volunteer and the Military Affairs
Committee mission of community education and troop
support are right in line with two of my passions.
Committee Highlight:
I am not sure I could name just one highlight to my time
as MAC Chairman. There were so many rewarding
encounters with our cities business leaders and with
our Military leadership. Attending the 90th Missile Wing
Dining out and meeting so many of our outstanding
Airman will stay with me forever. The willingness of the
Wyoming Military Department to opens it’s doors to the
MAC was incredible. I have always been fascinated
by flight and the time we spent with the C-130s and
their crews was amazing. The Blawkhawk visit was
also impressive to me as helicopters still amaze me. I
was very impressed with the outpouring of support we
received from local businesses for Armed Forces Day,

Chairman Challenges:
The most challenging aspect of my chairmanship was
finding the balance between asking too much and
not asking enough. I never wanted anything we did to
be a burden on the military, but as we saw with the
C-130 visit, having hands and eyes on the mission is
the best way to educate and learn appreciation for the
sacrifices our military members make.
Advice from the Chairman:
I would share with anyone looking to get involved in
a chairmanship that our community is blessed with
incredible talent and a great willingness of so many
people to make things better. 2014 has been a very
rewarding year for me and having the opportunity
to serve alongside so many awesome people will
motivate me to do more.
