AND LEE BATTY
Nick Bernardo (' 13 ), Will Dixon (' 20 ), Jack Fowles (' 10 ), Tom Goodwin (' 12 ) and Lachlan Strathmore (' 16 ), who belted out the classic tunes , including one of Tom ’ s favourites , Starman , arranged by Nick Buc (‘ 99 ) and conducted with his usual precision by Andrew Hunter ( Deputy Director of Music ).
Then followed speeches from School Council Chairman Mr Alex Sloan (‘ 71 ), who thanked Tom and Lee for their years of service to Scotch , followed by the Honourable Dr David Kemp AC (’ 59 ), who also thanked the Battys for their devotion to Scotch . He mentioned the many transformations the School underwent in the Batty era , such as buildings and facilities designed with an explicit educational purpose or the changes to the pastoral care of the Scotch student .
Rob McLaren ( Acting Principal ) took the opportunity to express , on behalf of the staff and Scotch community , his gratitude for the many years working alongside Tom .
