3.00 have on college student disposition , retention , and success . 3.00 This course provides an analysis of educational policy and research as it relates to the organization , governance , and delivery of educational services in the U . S . Major issues explored and analyzed in this course include school finance and equitable school funding , trends in PK-12 and higher education policy and practice , and the changing role of large and small school districts , private schools , charter schools , colleges and universities , and educational providers of all sorts . This course shall be conducted in a blended format , both online and oncampus .

This course provides an in-depth examination of the research relating to organizational behavior , the development of theories of administration , and the applications of theory in educational institutions . Students will have the opportunity to evaluate their own leadership style by analyzing the major frames for assessing organizational development . Through the lens of these frames and the concept of change theory , students will develop a personal philosophy of leadership . 3.00 An introduction to quantitative research methods , nonexperimental designs , and the analysis of large-scale longitudinal datasets . The logic of inferential statistics and the application of basic analytic techniques are explored as the basis for research related to education policy . Prior knowledge of statistics or quantitative methods is not required . 3.00
