Oftentimes, it is we ourselves who stifle our
own progress. We get caught up in the
busy-ness of life, and the goals God has for
us seem far away and unreachable. We
justify it easily with children, spouses,
work, and other goings-on. And while it is
true that it is not always about the
destination but the journey, being stuck in a
rut is not moving forward. So, let’s take
inventory of our lives~clean out our
spiritual closets~and get rid of what is
holding us back.
The flip-side of having an obstacle
hindering our walk is when God is
teaching us patience.
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence,
which has a great reward. For you must have
patience to do the will of God and receive the
promise. Hebrews 10:35-36
The only time we are to ‘be still’ is
when God is being exalted, lifted up
and worshiped. He is, and becomes,
our focus, our goal, and our
destination.
Be still, and know that I am God. I will be
exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in
the earth. Psalm 46:10
