FROM THE PRESIDENT’S DESK BY AARON MUIRHEAD W hen writing this report, we are fast approaching the National Conference commencing on 8 October 2017, just over seven weeks away. The conference schedule is jam packed full of interesting and relevant topics and speakers, one not to be missed! In line with the Conference theme, “Now is the time to be different”, why not go outside your comfort zone and register for the first ever GMA Conference Chautauqua. The Chautauqua, hosted by the always effervescent Gregg Patterson of “The Love Stick” and “Tribal Magic” fame, will provide a truly unique experience for delegates, riding through the McLaren Vale wine region south of Adelaide from Friday, 6th October to Sunday, 8th October. 4 I WWW.GMA.ORG.AU For more information on the conference schedule, click this link. A normal occurrence at National Conferences is the State Dinners. At this conference, the Qld State Dinner will be held at the infamous Jolly’s Boathouse which is situated approximately 500 meters walk from the Intercontinental on Wednesday, 11 October 2017 from 7pm.
