Asos is a hugely successful online store that sells many brands such as Calvin Kein, Monki, Cheap Monday and River Island. Wirh 1000's of garments available, over the past few years, it has become one of the most talked about online stroes in the world - a turnover of £550,000,000 in 2015 and 9.3 active customers.
One thing I've noticed about Asos is it's social media and the fact that it's really good! They have Snapchat, Instagram (5.2 million), Twitter (1.01 million) and Facebook (4 million) and all of these platforms are constantly being updated. This is one of the key ways in which online stores communicate with their customers. As Asos cannot communicate face to face with their customers, social media is the next best thing for them to engage with their audience.
Asos are excelent at staying updated and in contact with their social media following.
Another way Asos communicate with their audience is through their customer service. As an onlne store, there has to be some way to be able to speak to an Asos employee about a faulty item or a genreal query. Asos are excellent at customer service, there is an email on their website that gets a very quick response. With a good customer service experience and communication, customers will be happy to come back. This, I'm sure, is why Asos is so successful.
