GIRLFIGHT: THE OFFICIAL MOVIE MAGAZINE
But things really changed with Moonlight’ s entry into GIRLFIGHT.
“ Each actress was responsible for interpreting the assignments how they saw fit and wanted to be portrayed, especially when the weather was bad during Jade and Rachel’ s fight scenes. None of their attire was provided so they could choose what to wear. We didn’ t want the girls to feel uncomfortable. So, when Lindsey brought a pink bra by Victoria Secret I told her no unless we could accessorize it. It accurately fit her character’ s“ trailer park queen” backstory but I wasn’ t sexualizing GIRLFIGHT and never did, even with her famous“ bad girl” look that would later represent GIRLFIGHT. So, she added a fashionable tube top over it and the rest is history. Both her fights against Jacki and Angel can be found in Part I: Moonlight’ s Fights in the GIRLFIGHT: Behind the Scenes series.”
Even when viewing the footage, it does appear that Moonlight was made into nothing more than a tease without ever being sexualized, quite the accomplishment in today’ s world.
“ GIRLFIGHT isn’ t sexploitation or whatever our bitter rejects want to throw at us. It’ s simply about girls who want something so bad they’ re willing to brutally kill each other for it. It’ s funny how they were all for the project until I told them no pay or some of the girls they kept hitting on continuously rejected them or that a sexualized version would be totally acceptable if I didn’ t make it and I’ m over here like,“ Hypocritical much?””

Visual and Special FX Overlooked
Much of the film didn ' t look that good, although there were some hints it could have looked better than it did.
" I added some grain and scratches and all that plus layers and opacity settings to darken the film. I added some sharpening elements that seemed to be lost in translation when watched over a streaming network."
One of the harshest critiques involved a rejected cast member claiming to be an outsider and poking fun at the use of gelatin in place of a human heart during a heart devouring scene.
