Garment Analysis
The other garment we decided to analyse was a white chiffon blouse from Wallis in a size small, with a ruffle collar and ruffle sleeves, with a v neck and buttons going down. The fault in this garment is that, where the buttons are there is a narrow hole, where the seam has split, as the seam allowance is too small. As well as the material being chiffon it is a very delicate material and it is quite see through so the owner would have to wear something like a plain top underneath it.
To make this garment a lot simpler, as a group we decided we would remove the ruffles along the sleeve line, as well as joining the v neck together, which would also remove the buttons. This is to also ensure that the same problem wouldn’t occur. We would also make the material a lot thicker, so that the owner wouldn’t have to wear anything underneath it and so that the material does not rip.
I would wear both of the garments if they didn't have anything wrong with them, as well as changing them to how we wanted. I would probably wear the Wallis top more than the dress, because I much prefer the style of the top to the dress.
