Discount Store
Discount stores offer customers broad assortments of merchandise, limited services, and low prices. Discount stores are also referred to full-line discount stores or discount department stores. For their commonly recognizable huge retail format, discount stores are also referred to as big box retailers.
A big named discount store which specialises in selling up to date trendy pieces are T K Max, they try to encourage other brands such as Calvin Klein, Real Techniques, Converse and Vans to be sold in there so that these can be discounted. In Europe there are 407 T K max's.

Independent Store
The price is dependant on brand, you can have luxury independent retailers, which would be very expensive. However in general independent retailers are slightly higher in price than the average.

Often they are in single locations especially to start with they will only be in one location
