Empty Box Classroom Objects Ball Teacher wants students to stand up and they keep standing up. Teacher takes a pencil and asks the question. –What is this? Then a volunteer student answers. He/she who answers correctly may sit down. Teacher keeps asking questions using other objects in the class. The activity continues until all the students sit down. In this way, teacher reminds students the classroom objects. In this section, teacher brings a ball,a toy and a box(a teddy bear, a doll or toy car, etc...) to the classroom. In the lesson, teacher locates the toy anywhere in the class. For instance; on the desk, under the teachers’ desk, next to the chair, in the box, etc.... and makes sentences about the location of the toy. (The teddy bear is “on” the desk). Teacher emphasizes the prepositions while making sentences by using her/his voice effectively. Then teacher wants students to guess the meanings of prepositions.
