What are the reasons for the conquest of Istanbul? What were the consequences of
conquest in terms of Turkish and world history? The teacher starts the lesson with the
above-mentioned with questions.
Discussions on the impact of conquest on geographical discoveries are initiated.
Students are asked to investigate related terms such as Grejuva, Genoese, Popedom.
They are asked to consider what measures Fatih took to prevent the reactions from
Europe after the conquest of Istanbul.
