Gina   Torres   received   the   Frederick   Douglass   and   Susan   B.   Anthony   certificate.     She   displayed   leadership,   dedication   to   community   action,   excels   in   humanities/social   science   courses   and   took   rigorous  academic  courses.     Jennifer   Mulqueen   received   a   certificate   of   merit   from   the   Society   of   Women   Engineers.   This   award   is  given  to  honor  young  women  having  high  achievement  in  science  and  math  who  also  excelled  in   engineering  courses.     Daniel  Kline  and  Zach  Ready  were  presented  with  the  Russell  Sage  College  Student  Scholarship.    This   award  allows  Gateway  Regional  to  honor  an  outstanding  student  or  students  from  the  junior  class.     The  student  or  students  that  receive  this  award  exemplify  the  Russell  Sage  motto  of  “To  be,  to  know,   to  do.”       Domenic   Marchione   received   the   Xerox   Award   for   Innovation   and   Information   Technology,   which   recognizes   juniors   who   lead   others   to   new   approaches   and   has   best   practices   of   communication   tools  using  technology.       Presented   with   the   George   Eastman   Young   Leaders   Award   (formerly   the   Kodak   Young   Leaders   Award)   which   was   given   through   the   University   of   Rochester   is   Brittany   McCullough.   This   award   recognizes  outstanding  achievement  by  high  school  juniors  in  leadership  and  academics.     Luis   Garcia   received   the   Lawrence   Technology   and   Science   Award,   which   recognize   students   who   excel  in  their  science  and  technology  classes.    Students  must  have  received  high  scores  on  their  SAT’s   to  receive  this  award.     Gateway  wishes  to  extend  sincere  congratulations  to  all  award  recipients  in  recognition  of  their  hard   work.       College  Acceptances   Following  is  a  partial  list  of  universities  and  colleges  that  have  accepted  Gateway  students  from  the   Class  of  2014:   Alvernia   College,   Bloomsburg   University,   Bryn   Mawr   College,   Camden   County   College,   Champlain   College,   East   Carolina   University,   Eastern   University,   Elizabethtown   College,   Gloucester   County   College,   Ithaca   University,   Johnson   &   Wales   University,   Kings   College,   La   Roche   College,   La   Salle   University,  Marine  Corp,  McDaniel  College,  Monmouth  University,      Penn   State   University,   Rensselar   Polytechnic   Institute,   Richard   Stockton   College,   Rider   University,   Rowan,   Rutgers   University,   South   New   Hampshire   University,   University   of   Sciences,     Teachers   College   of   New   Jersey,   University   of   Delaware,   University   of   New   Haven,   University   of   Pittsburgh,   University   of   Scranton,   Virginia   Tech,   West   Chester   University,   West   Virginia   University,   Widener   University,  York  College.
