USIL offers a variety of bachelors and masters ranging from Architecture, to Engineering, to Culinary Arts. They have different international programs including the ‘Paul Bocuse Institut’, founded by the father of ‘Nouvelle Cuisine’ in Lyon, France. It is considered one of the best culinary arts and hospitality schools in the world.
Looking more into how USIL and HTH come together, their hospitality programs are very similar. International students are a key to what they believe in, as well as the combination of Practical and Theoretical education. At USIL, students are required to work at the Campus restaurant called Don Ignacio, which is a similar concept to Le Debut in Amsterdam as well as The Hague. They give students the possibility of doing semesters abroad as well as work in different hotels and restaurants around the world. Giving it a closer relationship to what we experience day by day in Hotelschool The Hague.
We are glad that we could experience such a diverse and rich gastronomy, as well as its culture, people and history. We hope to work with USIL more closely in a near future, offering similar programs to our campuses. We will forever be grateful for the effort put in from both sides, USIL and HTH, for making this memorable experience happen.
