On May 16, 2017, we had the pleasure of working with the young talented Chef Carlos Pardo Figueroa in a Peruvian Gastronomy Workshop together with the Embassy of Peru and other sponsors. Chef Figueroa is a Peruvian Chef who currently works as a lecturer and advisor at the Peruvian University San Ignacio de Loyola, also called USIL. In his time here, he told us about a culinary programme they had for foreign university which involved a one week travel to Lima to explore its gastronomical wonders.

At this point the idea seemed appealing but unlikely, one week all the way to Peru? We kept the dream alive by digging a bit deeper into this opportunity. University San Ignacio de Loyola is part of the ‘Leading Hotel schools of the World”, and as it turns out so is Hotelschool The Hague. This drew our attention even more and so, after several meetings and arrangements, we were finally going to Lima, Peru.

Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola, is a bilingual university located in Lima, focused on shaping professionals to national and international standards, offering the opportunity for a Dual Degree Program graduating from both USIL and San Ignacio University in Miami, USA.
