Horror Never Ends

Though October has come to an end that does not stop streamers from producing horrifying content. Horror streaming is a popular genre in which streamers and content creators live stream or record horror games. There will always be a following for horror games.

Brandy Clark of the Angry Joe army is the stream captain spoke about her experience with the Horror genre.

I have always loved horror,” said Clark. “I loved the horror genre and I loved the scary creepy aspects of it. I’m a big scaredy cat so I figured it would be a good fit.”

The beauty in horror streaming rests within the fact that it is timeless. Some people may believe horror should be streamed, viewed, or played around October. While people and streamers alike carry this belief, these streamers have a different view.

“I watch horror movies all year round,” said Clark. “I used to be of the idea that you only had to do horror games in October besides maybe one or two. It does not really matter what genre you choose especially when it comes to horror. It can be streamed all year round as long as you’re enjoying it and your community is enjoying watching you enjoying it. It definitely has an audience all year round.”

Clark continued the her belief on finishing a horror game for a stream. With so many new titles coming out each year and older games receiving expansions or major updates it can be hard to stick with what a player is streaming. Streamers have a competition to face especially in the horror genre against other streamers.

“What keeps me going is seeing the end of its conclusion,” said Clark. “A good example is the first time I played ‘Alien Isolation.’ I rage quit and it scared the life out of me. I did not come back until a year and a half later and told myself I will plow through it. It is the initial ‘oh what will happen in the end?’ That is what I am most interested in horror. I love seeing how it ends.”

Streaming games on such masses can also lead to major successes and other projects that have a big outcome. Developers and horror gamers alike will reach out to one another to connect and hopefully create new content together.

“I’ve been streaming horror since August of this year so 3 months,” said Clark. “It has also spawned a podcast called terrorific talk which I do weekly. I interview people who are content creators who love horror, stream horror, or run websites based on horror.”
