The group games were competitive but only four could
make it through to the semi-final with the bottom two destines for the intermediate quarter finals. The semi line was
Seoul vs Shanghai A and Dubai versus holder’s Singapore
A. The final pairing was a repeat of last year between Seoul
and Singapore and once again the Singapore side had that bit
too much for their opponents winning by 0-9 to 0-3. In the
men’s Plate decider it was a great win for Orang Eire A 2-6
over Hong Kong 2-4.
LADIES SENIOR CUP –
ABU DHABI STRONGEST
The two groups in the ladies senior competition were
Group A – Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul Gaels, and Singapore B, while in Group B we had Singapore B, Dubai, Abu
Dhabi, Orang Eire and Kuwait. Both Singapore B and Kuwait

were dropped into the intermediate grade. The teams that
made up the semi-final pairings were Seoul vs. Dubai and
defending champions’ Singapore against Abu Dhabi. Seoul
and Abu Dhabi made it into the final and it was the powerful
Mid East side that took the Lisa Orsi Cup on a scoreline of
1-9 to 1-4. The ladies Plate final saw an all China affair when
Shanghai A defeated Hong Kong A.
MEN’S INTERMEDIATE CUP –
SINGAPORE C TRIUMPH
There were 8 teams involved in the Intermediate Men’s Cup
with Beijing, Japan, Seoul B, Suzhou A (China). Viet Celts
(Vietnam), Shanghai B, Singapore C and Thailand. The latter
