LADIES INTERMEDIATE CUP We had unique pairing in the final of 8 team intermediate
Ladies Cup event with an all Japan native sides up against
the visiting UCD Internationals team. The Japanese side
had come up from Junior last year and beat both UCD and
Queens on the way to the Cup decider while UCD eventually made it through as the final opposition. The Japan side
took the honours in this one. Final score Japan 3-2 UCD 2-1.
In the Plate decider Thailand defeated Singapore B.
JUNIOR COMPETITIONS
The Men’s Junior Cup saw Busan (Korea), two teams from
Shanghai, Thailand B, Dalian (China) and Suzhou B in ac-

tion. This one also turned out to be an all China final with
Dalian too strong for Shanghai Dragons. The conclusion to
the Men’s Junior Plate saw Singapore D beat Orang Eire B.
In the Ladies Junior Cup 5 teams took to the field Ladies
Junior Cup Taiwan defeated Shanghai C, while in the Plate
Orang Eire B go the better of a gallant Japan B.
HURLING AND CAMOGIE
The Hurling final saw a repeat of last year’s decider but
unlike last year when Singapore won-out this time the result was reversed with Hong Kong taking the spoils. In the
Camogie decider a Dubai Celts and Thailand combo defeated last year’s winners Hong Kong. In the Youth tournament final Seoul edged the host’s 1-4 to 1-3.
