Basic Training Class XXII
Basic Training School XXII was completed on April 1, 2013, with the
assignment of 26 new firefighters to fire stations. BTS XXII began their fire
training on January 7, 2013, and spent the next 13 weeks learning how to be
Arlington Firefighters. The State of Texas recommends 468 hours of training
over Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Haz Mat Awareness and Operations. We
provided over 480 hours of basic training plus another 40 hours of Arlingtonspecific EMS training. BTS XXII represents some of the best Firefighters ever to
exit our academy.
