I
Interview with And1 Manager Linda Hill
Fuzionz Magazine: Linda tell us who you are
and about And1.
Linda Hill: I have run basketball operations for
And1 for three years. We travel around
domestically and internationally playing an
exciting form of basketball; very energetic,
entertaining, but more importantly, we go out
and inspire the youth and motivate them to do
well in education prior to participating in a
game of this nature. We’ve been blessed to
travel to forty different countries in the last two
years. For 2013, we are focusing on domestic
games.
Fuzionz Magazine: How long has And1 been in
existence?
Linda Hill: And1 has been in existence since
1993. Actually, this is our 20th year
anniversary. It started out with three guys from
college. They started printed up “Talk Trash” tshirts and they start giving them out and ten
years later the company became worth $495
million and it has been progressive since then.
Fuzionz Magazine: What do you see in the
future for And1?
Linda Hill: We are always looking for new
talent. My guys are very branded. People know
who they are when they come out to the
communities. When they go internationally,
they’re like superstars, so I’m always looking for
that next breed of talent. So we are looking for
the next generation and we just want not only
that person that may join our team in the future
to have a great basketball game, but he has to be
a good representative of character. So that’s
what we look for. It has to be a combined
character/basketball experience and if you have
that, you can be the next And1 Superstar.
