A: Changing mindset of the parents comes first and it is difficult here in Malaysia where excuses of shortage of time & long hours at work etc. The assistance from the workforce & government will need to combine and work towards as a team might motivate families to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Q8: How can families teach their children about the importance of eating healthy? A: Love your own body, encourage the child to adopt healthy lifestyle habits whatever their shape / size, do not force the child to finish all the food on the plate if she / he had enough, encourage regular physical activity to manage weight.
Q9: What is the recommended exercise requirement to maintain healthy? A: You need to get 150 to 300 minutes of moderateintensity activity a week to prevent weight gain. Moderately intense physical activities include fast walking and swimming.
