My role is to help anyone who is keen to get involved in all
the sports we have to offer and also to host an AU night
and a Sports Day for freshers to be able to make new
friends and really start off their medical sporting careers.
If you want to get involved in a medics sports team don’t
hesitate to message me for any queries and questions.
The next page includes a few words from the captains of
each sports team in the society, give it a read and check

RUGBY - CAPTAIN MICHAEL HORTON
Our club has had recent success in the NAMS cup with
other medical schools. We play Saturday games against
local men’s teams, with training sessions on Wednesday
evenings. Our activity doesn’t stop on the rugby field with
frequent postmatch socials throughout the year. Lastly there
is a great teaching ethos within our club, with older years al-
ways teaching the lower, allowing everyone to have a smooth
run through medical school. We encourage any level of rugby
to join, from those who have played all their lives to those
who’ve never held an egg-shaped ball.
TENNIS - CAPTAIN FREYA
HOLLOWOOD
Hey, freshers! If you’re interested in
tennis we’d love to have you! Any level is
welcome even if you’ve never played
before don’t be afraid to join! It’s a great club
that’s excited for some fresh faces and some
great socials coming up. We play on Mon-
days so get
involved!
Looking foward to meeting you all!
