This red Chinese lion dancer from the Sifu Meng International Kumg Fu Academy makes friends with one of the littlest spectators along the parade route . Sifu Meng ’ s Kung Fu Academy teacher kung fu , gymnastics , dragon and lion dancing which are forms of traditional dance in the Chinese culture .
Honored Parade Guest , Frank Sanchez , is a World War II American hero . He received the World War II Victory Medal , the European , African , Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the American Campaign Medal . Thank you for your service to America !
With flags flying , the Morgan Hill Sobrato High School Marching Band and Colorguard delighted the crowds with their rendition of the Washington Post March by John Phillip Sousa . The Sobrato Band and Colorguard participated in their first National competition last fall in New York City .
Paramit Corporation , ( a Freedom Fest Sponsor ) in keeping with the Parade theme , presented their version of the fairy tale , “ The Old Lady in the Shoe ” with the Old Lady and her many kids enjoying all of the 4th of July festivities . The judges really liked it and awarded them a 1st Place trophy in the Business and Professional Float category .
