TT- Tell me, Diana, what does the future hold for you?
DN- I guess I’ll be an adult soon, but that doesn’t sound all that exciting to me. Probably, the next time I shed my skin, I’ll have a set of wings. But will I be able to fly? Not very well! I will actually have to molt again to be able to fly around easily.
This family curse of incomplete metamorphosis is such a pain! And, get this, I won’t be have a mouth, and my stomach will be filled with air! No fair! But I will finally get to have sex and lay eggs. After that, it’s all a mystery. None of the adults have ever come back to tell us more. I suppose they find a place more beautiful than our stream.
TT- It all sounds rather pleasant.
DN- I suppose it does, but it all depends on whether I get eaten by a fish first.
TT- *Gulp*
TT- I’d like to thank Diana Naiad for that most delicious interview! Look for my next article in Teen BMI Beat Magazine entitled, “Why Do Some Flies Have Little Hooks Sticking Out of Their Butts?” Until next time!
