An Ode to the Hustle Written by Richie Piddington Freedom from the struggle, the everyday hustle and bustle. Every day, there are people dying. Every day, there are grave stones rising. Every day, this pain for my people. Never once did I stop trying. Many times I have been wronged. Many lessons I have learned. Where your respect belongs, and every second that you earn. Because life is short, and time does not discriminate. Many people in this place give you strength, knowledge, and unity. So live your life but don't forget to give back to your community. Live, Learn, Accomplish Written by Tyree Randolph Live to rise not to die, but in the midst of rising you will fall more than twice; Never stay down, give up or accept defeat. Life goes on no matter how many times you fall, no matter how hard you fall or, however many family or friends die off, your life goes on. Learn to live, live to learn, and learn to love. Everyone makes mistakes because no one is perfect. But, you can become close to perfect by learning from all your mistakes and making the best choices for yourself and everyone around you. Before you teach and become a leader you must follow and learn, Then, you master learning to follow by furthering your education in and after college. Learning to learn is what makes you a man, woman, boy or girl. You are never too young or too old to learn and teach someone else. If you think otherwise, then you’re foolish and lazy for not pushing yourself and others to better their education, their life, their dream and whatever reality throws their way. 13
